The Mystery and Mastery of Basketry

Service Description

Basketry is infinitely more than learning to make a Basket! There is mastery and there is Mystery! During this 5 month Deep Dive of Weaving from March to July, you will learn the skills to create 5 different types of baskets in a small group women's mentoring container. The first workshop of each month will be a Fibre Foraging Day in the forest where I show you how to collect your own fibres for your Basket. Rather than providing weaving fibres I will be teaching you have to source direct from the land the fibres needed. The second workshop of the month will be a Weaving Workshop at my house and we will sink into sacred spaciousness together, learning the skill and techniques needed to weave each basket and diving into our inner depth through heart sharing and movement meditation. Prerequistes You will need to be willing to go bush! That means we leave behind the tracks and enter into the forests and wetlands with suitable footwear and clothing. You also need to have some time in your life to sit quietly and give yourself entirely to each project, and then return to the group with your questions. Beware that weaving is a mysterious force, if you are busy and stressed, weaving can illuminate this in your life and call you into deeper presence. Baskets 1. Round Coil 2. Oblong Coil 3. Dilly Bag or Twining Price Total - $1200 for 10 workshops payable by 1st March Early Bird - $1000 Early Bird payable by 1st Feb Payment Plan - $600 for the first two months, payable by 1 st March and then $600 for the final three months payable by June. Cancellation and Refund Policy 100% Refund will be given when an email is received two weeks in advance of the starting date in March clearly stating the reasons why the participant can no longer participate. Once the Offering has begun in March there will be no refunds except for exceptional circumstances.
